About me
I've been climbing since 2010 — more than half my life. I took my first steps on the crags around Kraków and gradually explored more and more rock and mountain areas. I enjoy almost every form of climbing, from first ascents of unclimbed peaks in the Karakoram and Patagonian spires to classic big-wall climbing on El Capitan.
I've been lucky to meet many great people and climbers who taught me a lot and helped me grow — as a member of the PZA Youth Group, Polish Himalayan Sport Climbing, Kraków's Korona club and, of course, the Sakwa Alpine Club, which I've been part of for years. As an instructor, I introduce new people to climbing, inspire them and share my experience.
I've climbed in many rock and mountain areas around the world: the Karakoram in Pakistan, Patagonia, the crags of the US West (Yosemite, Zion, Red Rocks, Indian Creek), the Peruvian Andes, Taghia in Morocco, Wadi Rum, British sea cliffs, the Scottish mountains, central Norway and many valleys and faces of the Alps and the Tatras, in both summer and winter. I've made first ascents of unclimbed 6,000-metre peaks, opened new routes, freed existing ones and made first repeats.
Day to day I train regularly and sport climb, mixing training blocks with expeditions or longer mountain trips, where I lose the form I've built — still, for a good few years I've kept a fairly solid 8b level, with onsights up to 8a.
